Practice Manager Update
As mentioned in my last update in December (click here to read it), we are about to undergo major refurbishment works here at East Park Medical Centre.
These works are crucial to the overall improvements around the building, and will be transformative once completed – the work will be completed over 3 phases, lasting approximately 5-6 months. Once the work is completed, we will have more clinical spaces, as well as a much needed refresh to our patient spaces.
While these works are exciting, there will unfortunately be some unavoidable disruption throughout the next 5-6 months.
I kindly ask all patients and our partners so only visit the building if necessary.
- Phase 1: Top floor (administrative, and manager’s offices), and half of first floor (we will lose two clinical rooms during this phase). During this phase, Genix, the dentist that shares this building will still be in operation, albeit with some disruption to non-clinical rooms. Please contact Genix for more information. Some services may be diverted to other spaces on site, another Practice within our Primary Care Network, or at Halton Medical Centre.
- Phase 2: Ground floor (Reception, two clinical rooms, bathrooms and waiting area) – we will lose these areas, temporarily but will gain more clinical rooms once completed. Some services may be diverted to other spaces on site, another Practice within our Primary Care Network, or at Halton Medical Centre.
- Phase 3: First floor (Prescribing desk, rooms 3, 4 5 and 6, waiting area) – we will lose these areas, temporarily but will gain more clinical rooms once completed. Some services may be diverted to other spaces on site, another Practice within our Primary Care Network, or at Halton Medical Centre.
Access to some areas will be restricted, to patients and staff during these works. We will work with the contractors on site to minimise impact as much as possible.
The car park will also be out of use, please use on street parking, remembering to respect our neighbours and other road users (not parking over a dropped kerb for example).
If you have any questions or concerns about the refurbishment, please email me and the team – eastparkreception@nhs.net
